"As a former Beloit intensive language program attendee, I can say that the intensive language program was one of the most enjoyable experiences I have had in many summers. Although I attended the Arabic program, I think I can speak for many people in the other programs when I say that the intensive language study at Beloit was very educational as well as fun. The professors are willing to go to any length to help a student learn and will spend as much time as necessary. I can remember many nights when my teachers would be up late helping me learn material outside of class and never stopped helping until I was satisfied. The professors are very enthusiastic about teaching and I was often taught words from the other language teachers while sitting in the room as them. On top of being well educated, the teachers are also very easy to get along with, which makes long hours spent in class enjoyable. One aspect I found very helpful was speaking the target language during meals. Our professors strongly encouraged us to use what we had learned in class at the meal tables and all other times in order to gain proficiency in the target language. I learned an extensive amount of knowledge in my target language and made a lot of good friends during my summer at Beloit. I would recommend this program to anyone looking to be challenged in foreign language."
