1. How much spending
money will I need during the program?
- Students should budget $100-$200 for textbooks.
- Since all meals are paid for, students should budget for incidentals
(laundry, snacks, detergents/shampoo, bus tickets to Chicago or
Madison, and the occasional movie ticket).
- Students may want to budget some money for cultural excursions;
however, the cost of transportation, food, and tickets is generally
covered by the program.

a check or traveller’s checks?
- The Beloit College Accounting Office, located on the second
floor of Pearsons

Beloit accept an out-of-state check?
- Most stores in the Beloit area accept out-of-state checks.
- Some stores in the Beloit area will not accept checks numbered
less than 500.
- Most stores accept debit cards now so that checks may not be
the most convenient way to shop in Beloit.
